Hello, neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer. And today, we're taking a look at installing the Demco base plate on a 2024 Ford Maverick. Now this is what your base plate is gonna look like when it's installed, and the great part about this one is it slides right in between the grill slats, so that means you don't really have to trim anything out to get this to fit. And it works actually around the shutter, so that's really nice. With other brands out there, Roadmaster has another option for the Maverick that actually looks very similar. That installation's a little bit more involved. more

Hey guys, it's Jake here with etrailer. Today we have a 2024 Ford Maverick and we're gonna be taking a look at and I'm gonna show you how to install the Roadmaster direct connect base plate. Your base plate is going to be just one of your five main components for flat towing vehicle behind your RV. Your other components are going to be your tow bar, your braking system, your supplemental braking system for your vehicle, your diode wiring, and your safety cables. The base plate you can see here is actually mounted to the frame rails behind our front fascia. We're gonna have these removable tabs and you can obviously see we have the crossbar style mounted on here. more

Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit Installation - 2024 Ford Maverick- Video
Hey guys, it's Jake here with etrailer. Today we have a 2024 Ford Maverick and we're gonna be taking a look at and I'm gonna show you how to install the Roadmaster direct connect base plate. Our base plate is going to be our connection point to the front of our Maverick so we can flat tow it safely going down the road. We've got our Roadmaster Nighthawk tow bar connected to the base plate. It will have removable tabs so that whenever you're not flat towing your vehicle, the front of your vehicle looks very, very clean. It's gonna have integrated safety cable loops that you can just tie your safety cables directly into it. more

Now, there's five main components when flat towing a vehicle. And on the vehicle's side, we'll start with the base plate. And the base plate is just gonna attach to the frame of the vehicle, creating a solid mount to allow you to have your arms that are gonna attach to your tow bar.
